In Loving Memory

Rosby Lynn Jamieson
May 16, 2000-November 19, 2008Today has been a very sad day for our family. We had to put our Rosby down. She has been dealing with a nasty brain tumor for a few months and after many medications, she continued to decline. I don't even know how to begin to tell everyone what a wonderful dog she was...those of you who had the pleasure of knowing her remember. As we drove home from the vet's office Dan and I laughed and cried as we remembered...

*how she would steal and taunt us with our socks
*how she would bark everytime the Nextel commercials came on (beep beep)
*how no matter where she was in the house, she ALWAYS knew when I opened the lunchmeat drawer in the fridge...she just LOVED turkey
*how she could out-burp any dog or human around
*how she was always so good with our other babies, Ben and Abigail
*how she loved to cuddle with us
*how she would give us kisses everytime we requested them and even when we didn't :)
*how she once snuck some licks of Dan's ravioli and had a red muzzle as evidence
*how she would greet us with her body shaped like a 'c'
*how she always drank in groups of three licks...lick, lick, lick
*how she always laid down with one back leg out
*how she smelled like Fritos when she slept (gross, I know-but it's true)
*how she put her paws on Dan's shoulders as she licked his face...and when he tried to move her away, she would bat his hand away with her paw
*how she absolutely LOVED to lay in the sun...and on the back of the couch, looking out the window (that part of the couch will probably smell like Fritos forever!)
*how she was the best tugger in the whole world!
*how she would hop around nesting until she found just-the-right-spot to lay down
*how she never quite learned to roll over...she always thought just onto her back was good enough...and it was

These are the memories we are focusing on, rather than how tough the last three months have been.
Rosby, we could not have asked for a better pet for our family and you will truly be missed. Thank you for being part of our lives. We love you and we are so so sorry that you had to leave us so soon.

Dan and Natalie...I never even met Rosby, and I'm crying after reading your beautiful dedication to her. What a wonderful tribute to an obviously lucky puppy ~ to have had such love from you all... My heart goes out to all of your family, with sincere condolences...

Ohhh, Natalie, I am so, so sorry about Rosby! I know how devastated you must be. Take comfort in knowing that you gave Rosby the best possible life she could have had while she was here and filled it with so many wonderful moments. She was a very lucky girl to have you and Dan.
