Ben picked what kind of cake to make for Dan's birthday...strawberry cake with vanilla icing and Mike and Ike candy all over the top. He sure knows his daddy! We celebrated Dan's birthday by going to Ben's soccer game where again, he spent most of the time on the sidelines with us. We didn't have time for a nice dinner out, so I picked up a smoothie for Dan to enjoy on the way home for work. Ben was treated to a Happy Meal from McDonald's so that we could get him to quickly eat and help decorate Daddy's cake before his soccer game. By the way, that's why he's not wearing his shirt...he spilled chocolate milk all over himself. We ended the evening by getting gas for $2.72 a gallon!!! Yes, you read it right...$2.72!!! And when we left Wal-Mart, we saw that gas was $2.69 across the street at H.E.B. These gas stations are in Taylor, where Ben plays soccer. What a deal! Happy Birthday Daddy!
*By the way, Ben has a boo boo on his neck because a boy at school accidentally scratched him with a stick...they were running together and Ben ran in to him. It could have been worse!

I don't even want to know how you managed to keep up with Benjamin, Abigail, Rosby, work AND bake Dan a birthday cake!!! Don't tell James - I've been trying to keep his expectations of a "working mom" low.
