8 Months!

I can't believe our little baby girl is already 8 months old! Where has the time gone??? Well, Abigail is still as happy and sweet as ever. She is such a good baby and we are having so much fun with her. She is currently sitting up alone, but is showing no interest in crawling (I can't say that I'm too disappointed about this). She will sit and happily play with toys for a while. She is still sleeping through the night, thankfully. Lately, she has been sleeping on her tummy. She has two bottom teeth and didn't fuss much when getting them. She LOVES solids and she has tried all kinds. Her favorites seem to be all fruits, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans. She does not like peas, at least not the ones that I made...I should try Gerber peas and see if she'll eat those. Abigail continues to adore her big brother and Benjamin is still so good with her. It is so sweet to watch them together. We love you Abigail!!!

GUM!!!

We have been telling Benjamin that he has to wait until he is 4 before he can chew gum...well, guess what? Our little boy is 4! So, he's been so excited about chewing gum...he came to our room this morning after he woke up and said, "is today my birthday?". When we said yes, he asked, "can I chew gum?". We were able to hold him off until after his party...here is a sequence of him chewing his first piece of gum.

This was the funny part...we had told him not to swallow his gum, so he thought he couldn't swallow AT ALL.

Then we explained that he could swallow the "juices".

He was soooo happy!!!

He immediately ran over and gave Daddy AND Mama a BIG hug to say thank you! He definitely loves gum!

Happy 4th Birthday Benjamin!!!

Benjamin enjoyed a wonderful party today at the Hoppin' Hippo. He had so many nice friends who came to help him celebrate. All of the kids had so much fun. It's been a long and fun day and after it all...I can't believe our little man is 4!

Abigail and her big cousin, Avery, got their ears pierced on Saturday. Avery went first and was such a brave girl! She didn't cry AT ALL...not even when the piercing gun malfunctioned and they had to redo one ear! I thought I'd spare everyone the pic immediately after Abigail got hers pierced...she was NOT happy. Poor baby. She soon forgot the pain and was her happy little self again. And she looks sooo pretty.

Daddy and Ben's Conversation

Dan doesn't usually have much input on our blog (other than occasionally helping me choose which pic to use), so when he sent me this e-mail today, I had to copy it and paste it here:

Natalie,

Wanted to share a conversation with Ben this morning (seeing the attachment of their day yesterday and the mention of 'extinct' reminded me).

I asked Ben if he wanted to wear his helicopter camouflage shirt. I knew they were talking about dinosaurs this week, so I mentioned that wearing this shirt would help him not to be seen by the dinosaurs. He then told me that the dinosaurs are no longer here and that they are extinct. Couldn't pull a fast one on him.

Enjoying the Weather

We enjoyed a beautiful day with unusually warm weather for January. Benjamin is being silly, of course.

A Tooth!

It's hard to see, but it's there...on the lower left. She's been doing great, still happy as can be!
